Thanks for taking the time to visit and review the services and advice that my company provides.

How we got started.

I have been in the carpentry and construction business for over 35 years, starting out within the family business. In 1996 I was involved in a car accident were I suffered serious injuries that left me with a partial disability and took me out of the workforce for several years. But none of that stopped me from putting my experience to work.

While recovering I provided advice and supervision to many people and companies on renovation and construction jobs, many of which required the unique structural design and technology experience that I could offer. Including reconstruction jobs, where the house, cottage or building is lifted to replace the foundation and/or creating a new basement, then leveling the building back unto it, all the while ensuring that damage was prevented. Other times I advised on how to move buildings over many miles without them collapsing.

I have been involved with the lifting, leveling or moving hundreds of homes, cottages and buildings. Over the years I have built near 100 homes and cottages, constructed hotels and done all types of carpentry work. I started learning about renovations and construction as a kid working with my dad and uncles.

In later years I continued in business undertaking self employed contract projects during season and as a union carpenter during winter and off seasons.

The early years provided me with a unique education. Our family business included all types of construction from homes to bridges and our specialty was in building moving, foundation structures and leveling of all types of buildings from sheds to warehouses, cottages to homes.

Last year my daughter formed Smoke On The Water Ent

The company was formed to fulfill the need for an experienced Manitoba company specializing in seasonal to year round cottage conversions, house and cottage leveling, new foundations and repairs. I put my experience to work in supervising a hard working and knowledgeable crew. This created a win- win situation for our customers and company.
