Quick Handyman Tips

It's spring and with spring comes thoughts of camping, fishing and hiking in the great outdoors.

Fix your sleeping bags without buying new

Line old sleeping bags with flannel sheets. Do this by folding in half and hand sewing a flannel sheet into the sleeping bag to give additional warmth. Attach it all the way around the bottom section that you lie on, the top you can leave loose so you can either cover up with it on cooler nights or you can lie on top of the added sheet if it gets too warm.

Fishing Tips

Worried about losing your keys when you are out boating or fishing?

Then drill a hole through a large cork or foam pad and fasten your key chain securely through it. Your keys will float if dropped in the water.

What about keeping your fishing license dry and safe?

Get a good sized ink pen and remove the cartridge. Carefuly roll up your license and place where the cartridge was . Clip the pen to your pocket or store inside tackle box.

Did you know that Non-stick vegetable spray can be used to lubricate fishing reels, squeaky hinges, sticky locks, bicycle chains, etc.
